In support of peer review—an essential part of the school accreditation process—AMS is seeking volunteers to serve on our on-site accreditation visiting teams. The ideal volunteer is committed to upholding the standards of AMS, is a competent writer, a team player, and has a professional demeanor. In addition, to be eligible, a team member must:
- be a current or former administrator or faculty member of an AMS-accredited school (minimum 3 years of experience)
- have a current AMS membership
- hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree
- attend this team member training Webinar or equivalent workshop at the AMS Annual Conference
Ask any experienced member of an on-site visiting team and she will tell you that being a part of an accreditation team is an invaluable opportunity for professional growth. In recognition of this learning experience, AMS offers team members continued professional development (CPD) hours based on the length of the visit.
