AMERICAN MONTESSORI SOCIETY
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of the American Montessori
Society. It is empowered to formulate policies and to amend the constitution
and by-laws and to take whatever action is necessary to realize the purpose
for which the Society was formed. As specified by the by-laws, some members
are appointed and others are elected.
All AMS members, except initiate school members, can vote in Board elections.
New directors are announced at the Annual Meeting, at which time their term
begins.
We are currently seeking nominations and applications
for the 2009-2010 Board of Directors. The deadline to nominate someone other than yourself to serve
on the Board is September 4, 2008. The deadline to
apply to serve on the Board yourself is September 11, 2008.
