AMS POSITION PAPERS

Since its formation in 1960, the American Montessori Society has been the mainstay of the Montessori movement in the United States. AMS is a non-profit, non-discriminatory service organization dedicated to stimulating the use of the Montessori teaching approach in private and public schools. It has become the collective voice of over twelve thousand Montessori certified teachers, schools, administrators, parents of Montessori school children, and interested friends committed to furthering Montessori philosophy and promoting better education for all children.

From time to time, AMS issues position papers on educational practices.
