AMS 2010 Annual Conference: The Perfect Setting for Celebrating our
Golden Anniversary
In 1960, a small group of visionaries,
led by Dr. Nancy McCormick Rambusch, met in Greenwich,
CT, to realize their dream of establishing a community of educators,
scholars, advocates, and others who shared their passion for the educational
methods pioneered by Dr. Maria Montessori. Half a century later, the
community founded by those individuals—the American
Montessori Society—gathered in Boston to celebrate 50 years of
remarkable accomplishments and to look ahead with confidence as we begin
our sixth decade.
We thank everyone who participated and helped make the event the success
that it was.
