Voting for the Heads of Schools Section Chair is open each AMS member who is currently head of an AMS member school (whether Accredited, Full, Associate, Satellite, or Initiate). The eligible head of school may cast 1 vote.

After devoting more than 37 years to the Houston Montessori community, I want to continue to use my strengths and experience to benefit AMS as the chair of the Heads of Schools Section. I serve as an officer on several non-profit boards and am president of the board at the Houston Montessori Center. It has been my great joy to help fund and start Montessori schools in Russia and Kenya. I know the importance of honoring our school leaders with revitalizing, renewing, and recharging retreats.”

“I bring a unique background as a Montessori administrator in both public Montessori and private Montessori Schools for the past 11 years. I have dedicated over 30 years to Montessori education and strongly believe in the passion and purpose that Montessori education ignites in students of all ages. Having worked with many school boards, my top priority would be making sure that public and private Montessori schools are equally represented and supported by AMS for their strengths and challenges that they face, now and in the future. The strength of Montessori education needs to be recognized as a “tradition” and real-world 21st-century education.
Additionally, I have a marketing and public relations background. I have also spearheaded the opening of new Montessori programs and schools at each level, from toddler and preschool to junior high/high school.”
